Student Charged With Sexual Abuse At Daycare Due In Court

BROCKTON, Mass. (AP) — A Bridgewater State University student charged with sexually abusing two young boys at the campus child care center is due back in court.

Kyle Loughlin has a hearing Monday in Brockton District Court to determine whether he is a danger to society.

The 21-year-old Loughlin has been held without bail since pleading not guilty earlier this month to of rape of a child and aggravated indecent assault and battery on a child. Police say the alleged victims are 4 and 5 years old.

Loughlin was one of several students who worked at the university's day care center.

The center's former director is also facing charges for allegedly failing to report allegations of abuse.
