Stow Police Chief Ralph Marino Under Criminal Investigation

STOW (CBS) -- Stow Police Chief Ralph "Rusty" Marino placed himself on "indefinite administrative leave, the Stow Police Department announced Sunday.

Sources told WBZ-TV chief investigative reporter Cheryl Fiandaca that Marino is under criminal investigation. There was no confirmation on the specifics of the case.

State Police met with Marino over the weekend. He put himself on administrative leave before he was eventually relieved of his duties.

Sgt. Darren Thraen has been named acting chief by Marino. That will be finalized at Wednesday's Board of Selectmen meeting, according to Town Council Jon Witten.
