3 hurt after plane crashes between homes near Minute Man Air Field in Stow

STOW – Three people were seriously hurt Sunday during a plane crash near Minute Man Air Field in Stow.

It happened just after 1 p.m. in the area of Taylor Road, which is a short distance from the airfield's runways.

"Everybody started talking, asking for help, yelling, and I just started thinking, help the first person in front of me," said Tye Moracy, who helped the victims. "This person's stuck to their seatbelt, this person has a sharp piece of metal up close to their body and then this guy can't breathe. The emergency people were showing up and it's like, thank God, I was so relieved that there were more hands."

A spokesman for Stow police said a plane crashed in the yard between two homes. Three people were taken to area hospitals by medical helicopters with non-life-threatening injuries.

"I think I had moments where I just cried," said Moracy. "I started thinking about the positives, like where they landed. I'd like to believe, maybe, whoever's flying put it right in the path between the two houses. I guess I feel lucky about a lot of things."

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will investigate the crash.
