Stork Fails Physical With Redskins, Center's Rights Return To New England

BOSTON (CBS) --  It's been a busy week for Bryan Stork.

It was reported early last Wednesday that the center was being released by the New England Patriots, but a few hours later those reports turned into Stork being traded to the Washington Redskins for a conditional draft pick. Shortly after that news broke, it was reported that Stork was actually considering retirement.

But as we start the final week of the NFL's preseason, it appears Stork is heading back to the New England roster. According to Chris Cooley, a former Redskins tight end and current host on ESPN radio in Washington D.C., Stork failed his physical with Washington and his rights will revert back to the Patriots.

The Patriots will now likely continue on with their original plan to release Stork, who has battled with concussions since his college days at Florida State.
