Stop & Shop Removes Garden Lite Products From Shelves Following Recall

QUINCY (CBS) -- Stop & Shop has removed some Garden Lite products from its store shelves after the company announced that some of its foods may contain peanuts, which is not listed on the ingredient label.

Garden Lites issued voluntary recall Tuesday, stating that the ingredient cumin used in some of its products was contaminated with peanuts and may pose a serious health risk to those who are allergic.

The recalled products include the Kale & Quinoa Soufflé, Southwestern Soufflé, Veggie Chili & Cornbread Melt, Kale & Brown Rice Veggie Bites. and Classic Cooking Kale & Quinoa Veggie Cakes.

Stop & Shop has not received any reports of illnesses from anyone who has bought the product from their stores.

Anyone who has bought any of the recalled products from the store can bring in their purchase receipt for a full refund.
