Sterling Powerball Winners Claim $61 Million Jackpot Prize

STERLING (CBS) – The local winners of a $122.9 million Powerball jackpot from December came forward on Thursday to claim their prize.

Maureen Hinckley, 58, and Stephen Hinckley, 61, of Sterling bought one of the two winning tickets.

It was sold at the Appletown Market on Main Street in Sterling. The other winning ticket was purchased in Nebraska.

The winning numbers were 1, 10, 13, 18, 19 and Powerball 26.

The Hinckleys, parents of four whose youngest is in college, will take home a $23.9 million lump sum after taxes.

Maureen said she has been buying lottery tickets for as long as she can remember.
