Step-Father Arrested After Child Dies In Hampton, NH

HAMPTON, NH (CBS) – Police are investigating the unattended death of a 19-month-old child in Hampton, New Hampshire.

Officers say they don't know how the child died, but they arrested the baby's step-father during the course of their investigation.

Leo Witham, 30, is charged with child endangerment, possession of a controlled drug and falsifying evidence.

Witham was held on $10,000 bail and will be arraigned on October 11.
