Steelers Wide Receiver Martavis Bryant Facing 4-Game Suspension

BOSTON (CBS) -- So who exactly will be playing Week 1 when the Patriots and Steelers square off on opening night?

Tom Brady's status is up in the air while the NFL and NFLPA have their DeflateGate slapfest. Both of the their top running backs, New England's LeGarrette Blount and Pittsburgh's Le'Veon Bell, will have to sit out due to suspension.

Now there's news that Pittsburgh wide recevier Martavis Bryant is facing a four-game ban for violating the league's substance abuse policy, according to Adam Schefter. He's appealed that suspension, but we all know how that goes.

As a rookie last season, Bryant caught 26 passes for 549 yards and eight touchdowns in 10 games. He averaged 21.1 yards per reception, and was second on Pittsburgh with 54.9 receiving yards per game.

The Patriots and Steelers open the NFL schedule on Thursday, September 10. That is, if they can fill out a full roster.
