Steamship Authority Reservations Temporarily Put On Hold Amid Website Problems
BOSTON (CBS) – The Steamship Authority website was down Tuesday morning as customers rushed to book their summer travel.
Reservations for Martha's Vineyard opened for the season at 5 a.m., but many customers found they were unable to book trips.
Officials put reservation plans on hold while they work to fix the problem. The website is back up and running, though at a slower speed than usual.
12:45 PM Update: The Steamship Authority's reservation system was back up and running at noon. Transactions are coming through at a slower pace than normal. We ask for your patience and continue to refresh your page. Our team continues to work on improving the reservation system.
