State Trooper, Driver Hurt In Expressway Crash

BOSTON (CBS) – A State Trooper and a driver were hurt in a crash on the Southeast Expressway in Dorchester Friday morning.

It happened in the southbound lanes of I-93 near the Savin Hill overpass just before 7 a.m.

There are very few details at this point in the investigation, but it involved one car and a State Police SUV. Both were stopped in the center lane after the crash. The driver and the trooper were taken to the hospital.

State Police spokesman Dave Procopio said he had no information yet on the severity of the injuries.

All lanes were re-opened to traffic about an hour later.
