State Police Trooper Accused Of Lewd Act At Gillette Stadium Concert

BOSTON (CBS) - A Massachusetts State Trooper is accused of exposing himself at a Gillette Stadium concert this summer. In a closed door hearing Thursday, a clerk decided there was enough evidence for a criminal charge against Trooper Andrew Patterson of Lynn.

A couple said during the Luke Bryan concert on June 21 at Gillette Stadium Patterson was extremely intoxicated when he exposed himself and performed a lewd act on himself while one of his friends videotaped it.

According to the police report, the boyfriend became upset that the men were being inappropriate and he knocked the phone out of the hand of the person filming.

Patterson then punched the boyfriend in the nose, investigators said.

The boyfriend admitted he then hit Patterson with a chair, but he also said Patterson's friend flashed a badge and told him he was in big trouble.

Patterson was suspended after the incident and will face another review Friday.

"The off-duty conduct as alleged utterly contradicts the manner in which the Department demands its members conduct themselves in their personal lives," Procopio said.

Patterson is scheduled to be arraigned on November 8 for one count of lewd, wanton and lascivious conduct.
