State Police Taking 'Wait And See' Weather Approach For Esplanade Festivities
BOSTON (CBS) - State Police are taking a 'wait and see' approach before making any possible changes to the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular tropical storm Arthur approaches Massachusetts.
"I think it would be premature to make any kind of comment or projection on what that looks like," said State Police Colonel Tim Alben during a Tuesday press conference at the Esplanade.

Along with the weather report, officials announced a few changes have been made to this year's show and security.
State Police say no one will be allowed to stand on the Longfellow Bridge, since it is under construction, and concert attendees will be prohibited form having bicycles in the oval and the lagoon areas.
The fireworks barge has also been moved west closer to the Mass. Ave bridge, which is creating new restrictions for boaters.
As for the concert itself, New Kid on the Block Joey McIntyre has been added to the show. Also, Gov. Deval Patrick will perform a historic narration.
