Coffee On Tap: Starbucks Bringing Nitro Cold Brew To Boston

BOSTON (CBS) – Starbucks will soon be serving up a new cold creation that will only be available in a few major cities, including Boston.

Boston is one of seven locations that will get to sip Starbucks' "Nitro Cold Brew." It's the latest push by the chain to take control of what it says is a "multi-billion dollar cold coffee market."

The new nitro cold brew drink infuses nitrogen into cold coffee, making it smooth and creamy.

Starbucks says more and more people are drinking iced coffee, and cold brew sales have grown by 338.9 percent since 2010.
