Staffer's Patriots Super Bowl Ring Sells For $39K

BOSTON (CBS) - A ring that belonged to a staff member of the New England Patriots' 2001-02 Super Bowl Championship team just sold at auction for a lot of money.

The Super Bowl XXXVI ring was produced by Jostens. It's 14 carat white gold with 42 diamonds totaling 2.61 carats.

It bears the name "Donaldson" for Shane Donaldson. Donaldson worked three seasons with the New England Patriots' team website and newspaper.

The ring, which was auctioned off by Goldin Auctions, sold for $39,930.
