Sister Of Marathon Bombing Suspects Arrested For Alleged Bomb Threat

BOSTON (CBS) – The sister of the accused Boston Marathon bombers has been arrested in New York City.

Ailina Tsarnaeva, of North Bergen, New Jersey, is charged with threatening the mother of her live-in boyfriend's children, New York City Police Spokesman Lt. John Grimpel tells WBZ.

Tsarnaeva, 24, was arrested Wednesday afternoon. She allegedly called the 23-year-old female in Upper Manhattan saying, "I know people who can come up there and put a bomb on you."

She was released and will be back in court next month.

In 2013, Tsarnaeva appeared in South Boston District Court in connection with a counterfeiting case.

Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are accused of putting two bombs at the finish line of the Boston Marathon in 2013. Three people were killed and more than 260 others were wounded.
