Search Suspended For Missing Halifax Kayaker, Will Resume Sunday Morning

HALIFAX (CBS) – Dive teams have suspended their search Saturday at a Halifax lake where a man never resurfaced after his kayak overturned while fishing.

The search will resume Sunday at 8 a.m., according to the Halifax Fire Twitter account.

Friends say the 26-year-old man knows how to swim, but was not wearing a flotation device when his kayak flipped Friday afternoon at Silver Lake.

At least 28 divers from 11 different communities search the lake for hours before calling the search off Friday.
