Shots Fired Overnight On Street In Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE (CBS) – Police are investigating gunshots fired early Saturday morning in Cambridge.

Officers were called to Hampshire Street near Cambridge Street on Saturday at about 2:05 a.m.

No injuries or victims were reported after the gunshots were fired. Police were able to locate several shell casings in an area parking lot.

"All indications at this point in the investigation are that this incident was not random in nature," police said in a community alert.

Three possible suspect vehicles were seen leaving the area. One is described as a silver Honda and two others, one black and one maroon, were seen turning left towards Prospect Street following the incident.
