Seekonk Police Continue Search For Driver That Killed Asst. Town Clerk
SEEKONK (CBS) – Police in Seekonk are continuing their search for a car they believe was involved in a hit and run crash that killed a town employee.
Assistant town clerk Karen McHugh was killed on January 30 when she was walking outside her home on Arcade Ave.
According to police, McHugh was walking from her garage to her front door, but was briefly on the side of the road because of snow piles near her house.
Police said the involved car left the scene after hitting McHugh, traveling toward Taunton Ave.
During their investigation, police determined that the suspect vehicle was likely a dark colored General Motors sedan. Police believe the car suffered front end damage.
Officers recovered debris from the scene, which included an amber passenger side marker or directional lens.
That lens may be from a 2004-05 Chevrolet Malibu Classic, 1997-2005 Malibu, 1997-99 Oldsmobile Cutlass, 1997-98 Oldsmovile Achieva, 1996 Chevrolet Beretta or 1996 Chevrolet Corsica, police said.
Seekonk police are looking for the public's help, including auto shops, part stores and glass companies that may recognize the vehicle.

McHugh's funeral services took place on Saturday morning, with a large group of mourners expected.
