Sanu Misses Practice Again, But Dorsett A Limited Participant For Patriots On Thursday

BOSTON (CBS) -- Mohamed Sanu joined his teammates for the start of Thursday's practice in Foxboro, but the Patriots receiver did not practice for the second straight day.

Sanu joined his teammates on the field for warmups but sat again with the ankle injury he suffered during Sunday's win over the Eagles. After missing two days of practice, the veteran receiver likely won't suit up when the Patriots host the Dallas Cowboys this weekend. According to Tom Curran of NBC Sports Boston, Sanu may be dealing with a high ankle sprain that could cost him a few weeks of game action.

There was some good news for the New England offense, as fellow receiver Phillip Dorsett was limited at practice on Thursday after he missed Wednesday's session with a concussion. Dorsett did participate in drills on Thursday but was not wearing pads, suggesting that he has not been cleared for contact just yet.

A report earlier Thursday said that there is optimism that Dorsett will be cleared to play in Sunday's game. He suffered a concussion on his touchdown grab Sunday against the Eagles -- his team-leading fifth touchdown reception on the season.

Other than Dorsett moving from DNP to limited, there were no changes to New England's practice/injury report on Thursday:

LIMITED PARTICIPATION
LB Ja'Whaun Bentley, Knee
S Patrick Chung, Heel/Chest
WR Phillip Dorsett, Concussion

As for the Dallas Cowboys, the only change on their practice/injury report was the absence of safety Donovan Wilson, who missed Thursday's practice due to an illness:

T La'el Collins, Knee/Back
LB Joe Thomas, Illness
S Donovan Wilson, Illness

LIMITED PARTICIPATION
G Zack Martin, Back/Ankle/Elbow
G Connor Williams, Knee

The 9-1 Patriots host the 6-4 Cowboys at Gillette Stadium on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m.
