Recycling Plant Catches Fire In Salem, New Hampshire

SALEM, N.H. (AP) — Authorities say a recycling plant in southeastern New Hampshire caught fire when a pile of debris ignited and spread to a building on the property.

Firefighters from several communities worked to put out the four-alarm fire Wednesday night at LL&S wood recycling plant in Salem. They had to cut through a chain link fence to get to the flames.

Police say fire crews from surrounding communities helped the Salem Fire Department extinguish the flames. The fire appeared to be under control around 11 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
