Salem, N.H., Police Seek Robber Who Locked Store Employee In Garage

SALEM, N.H. (AP) — Police are searching for a robber who locked a gas station employee in a garage in Salem and then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Authorities say a man with a thin build and wearing a bandanna over his face came into the Super Petroleum store on Friday night, locked the employee in the garage and then stole cash from the register.

No weapon was used in the robbery.

Police say a canine search turned up a red jacket, gray ski hat and white bandanna near the store. Authorities believe the suspect may have had a getaway car nearby.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Salem police at 603-890-2322.
