2-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Hit By Car At Rutland Home

RUTLAND (CBS) – A 2-year-old boy was killed Friday in an accident at his Rutland home.

Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early confirmed Saturday that the young boy died. He had been in critical condition after being hit by a car at a Campbell Street home.

The accident happened Friday around noon. Police could be seen in the yard recreating the scene a short time later.

Early did not identify the boy or the driver.

"The death appears to be the result of a tragic accident," said Early.
