One Killed, One Injured In Early Morning Roxbury Shooting

BOSTON (CBS) -- An early morning shooting on Humboldt Avenue in Roxbury claimed the life of one man and injured another Monday.

Police responded to reports of a shooting around 3:05 a.m. Monday. When police arrived, they found a man in his 20s dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

A second man suffering from a gunshot wound was located shortly after. He was taken to Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

During the investigation, officers recovered several firearms from the scene of the shooting.

Police said that calls for this incident mentioned multiple locations, but that the shootings occurred in the same immediate area.

The shooting is still being investigated, and police are asking anyone with information about the circumstances of the shooting to contact them. No further information was yet available.
