Roxbury Family Escapes Injury When Dump Truck Slams Into Home
BOSTON (CBS) – A Roxbury family narrowly escaped injury after a dump truck slammed into their home Tuesday afternoon.
The truck crashed into a home on Clarence Street.
Two adults, two children, and two dogs were inside at the time of the crash.
"The house was shaking," a mother who was inside told WBZ-TV's Christina Hager.

The woman said her two toddlers were just feet away from the door when the truck rammed into the home.
The truck's driver said he had a difficult time hitting the brakes because of the large yellow boots he was wearing.
A car that was parked near the home was also damaged in the crash.
Dist. Fire Chief Jeff Whitman said it was fortunate that no one was injured - in the home or the truck.
"Luck was on their side, and the driver too," he said. "When we got a closer look inside the truck, a piece of the rod iron fence went through the truck. It could have impaled him."
Crews were eventually able to safely get the truck out of the home and tow it away. The building was significantly damaged, with the living room exposed following the crash.
The driver said he was glad everyone escaped injury. He is not facing any charges at this point.
