Man Killed In Hit-And-Run On Route 93 In Braintree

BRAINTREE (CBS) - A man was killed in a hit-and-run on Route 93 in Braintree early Tuesday morning.
It happened around 4:25 a.m. on 93 south near exit 6.
Massachusetts State Police said the 42-year-old man from Boston was struck "in the vicinity of the second and third lanes" of the highway and that the "vehicle or vehicles" that hit him didn't stop.
He died at the scene and his name has not been released.
Police do not know why the man was on the highway. They're trying to get a description of the vehicle or vehicles that hit him.
Two lanes were shut down for the investigation and were re-opened about two hours later.
