Person Hit, Killed By Car On Route 16 In Everett

EVERETT (CBS) -- A person was hit and killed by a car on Route 16 in Everett Sunday. Mass. State Police responded to the crash on the westbound side of the highway around 11 a.m.

Traffic was detoured onto Sweetser Circle but all lanes reopened a few hours later.

Mass. State Police did not release any information about the identity of the victim or say why that person was on the highway.
