Route 140 In Wrentham Reopens After Sinkhole Repaired

WRENTHAM (CBS) - A major road through Wrentham re-opened early Tuesday morning just in time for rush hour.

Route 140 at Madison Street was shut down Monday afternoon after a driver crashed into a fire hydrant, causing a water main break that opened a 20-foot wide sinkhole in the road.

The street was closed all night as public works crews repaired the water line and filled the sinkhole.

The road was re-opened around 5: 30 a.m.

There's no word yet if the driver will be charged.
