Route 128 North Traffic Jam Caused By Joint Compound Delay

NEEDHAM (CBS) – Rush hour traffic into the city was worse than usual Tuesday morning on Route 128.

The lanes could not be opened until authorities were able to rule that section of road was safe for travel.

"MassDOT understands the frustration drivers have experienced and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused," the agency said in a statement.
