Driver Killed After Car Rolls Over Several Times On Route 1 In Saugus

SAUGUS (CBS) – A driver was killed in a crash on Route 1 north in Saugus early Wednesday morning.

State Police said the woman lost control of her the 2004 Volvo station wagon near the Lynn Fells Parkway exit around 4:30 a.m.

The car rolled over several times, she was ejected and died at the scene.

She was the only person in the car at the time of the crash.

Her name was not been made public, but police said she is 39 years old and from Saugus.

"Troopers are investigating if speed or road conditions may have been contributing factors," state police said in a statement.
