Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy Courts Young Professionals For Support

BOSTON (CBS) - The Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy is hoping to turn more millennials into philanthropists.

The non-profit recently formed "Young Friends of the Greenway" to help highlight all of the park's features appealing to young professionals.

The group hosts its first ever benefit Saturday night under the colorful new sculpture that's adding vibrancy to the city skyline.

"We really do see that young professionals embrace the Greenway. Many of them live in the neighborhoods that surround the park. We've heard from a lot of them that they want an opportunity to support the Greenway," Michael Nichols, the Greenway's Chief of Staff, told WBZ-TV.

WBZ is proud to be a sponsor of the Janet Echelman sculpture installation above the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
