Rochester Police Investigating Series Of Armed Robberies

ROCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) – Police are investigating a series of armed robberies in Rochester.

The latest occurred Sunday at 2:10 a.m. when a suspect walked into the Cumberland Farms on Highland Street and robbed the clerk at knife point, according to police. The clerk was performing his night duties when the suspect entered the store and demanded money from the register. The clerk obeyed and the suspect fled on foot down Main Street.

Police used a K-9 unit and tracked the suspect back to an area where police believed he fled in a car.

The suspect is described as a white man 5' 5'' to 5' 9'' with a thin build. He wore a blue Adidas hooded sweatshirt, a dark bandanna mask over his face, blue jeans and black sneakers. He carried a knife with a black blade in his right hand.

The description matches similar details from the July 6 and July 20 armed robberies at Shell Station on Milton Road and the Irving Circle K on Gonic Road. It also matches a July 27 robbery of the same Cumberland Farms store.
