Gronkowski (The Horse) Is Out Of The Kentucky Derby
BOSTON (CBS) -- What could have been an epic weekend for the name Gronkowski will never be.
The horse named Gronkowski, whom Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski now owns a stake in, is out of this year's Kentucky Derby.
It's unfortunate Gronkowski the horse will not be able to race in the upcoming Kentucky Derby due to an illness. I fully support what is best for the horse. I know he will come back strong and healthy and I am excited to see him race again very soon.

The status of Gronkowski (the horse) for the annual Run for the Roses was up in the air after it was reported he suffered a "minor setback" on Monday morning. We now know that setback is slight infection that will keep him out of Derby, which will be run on May 5 at Churchill Downs.
If only that horse had been training under Alex Guerrero all these years. Gronkowski (the party animal) will likely still be in Louisville for the race, partying the day away with some of his Patriots teammates.
