Report: Veteran Corner Terence Newman Visiting With Patriots

BOSTON (CBS) -- In their quest to replace Darrelle Revis, the New England Patriots are hosting a veteran cornerback on Tuesday.

According to NFL Network, 36-year-old Terence Newman will be in Foxboro for a free agent visit on Tuesday. The 5-foot-10 corner spent the first nine years of his career with the Dallas Cowboys after being selected fifth overall in 2003, and spent the last three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Newman started 13 games for the Bengals last season, finishing with one interception and 72 tackles. A two-time Pro Bowler (2007, 2009), Newman has 37 interceptions over his career.

Newman, who has considered retirement this offseason, also visited with the Minnesota Vikings on Monday.
