Source: Driver In Fatal Back Bay Crash Did Not Have License

BOSTON (CBS) – The driver who allegedly caused a crash in the Back Bay that killed a Brookline couple did not have a license, sources tell WBZ.

On Saturday night, 28-year-old John Lanzillotti and 27-year-old Jessica Campbell of Brookline were walking on Beacon Street when they were hit in a chain reaction crash.

Sources tell WBZ a husband and wife from Allston will likely be charged in the crash. Police say Ghuzlan Alghazali ran a red light and collided with another car, causing their SUV to flip into Lanzillotti and Campbell.

Officers say Alghazali does not have a license.

Police are looking to charge Alghazali's husband, Mohamed Alfageeh, for lying to police. Alfageeh told investigators he was driving Alghazali's vehicle at the time of the crash. Alfageeh had a license, but as a result of what happened, it is now suspended.
