Report: Pope Francis Eyeing U.S. Visit In 2015

BOSTON (CBS) – Pope Francis intends to visit the United States in September of 2015, according to a report in the National Catholic Reporter.

Citing Vatican sources, NCR Senior Correspondent John Allen Jr. reported that while the Pope hopes to arrange a trip, nothing is official at this point.

The potential trip would be set to coincide with the World Meeting of Families, which is reportedly scheduled for September 22-27, 2015, in Philadelphia.
