Report: Patriots To Sign Cornerback Bradley Fletcher

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Patriots are starting to fill some holes on their cornerback depth chart.

According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, New England will sign free-agent cornerback Bradley Fletcher.

The Boston Herald's Jeff Howe reported that it will be a one-year, $2.5 million contract.

Fletcher is a six-year veteran who played four seasons for the Rams and two for the Eagles. In 71 career games, he's made eight interceptions (returning one for a touchdown), 279 total tackles, and one sack. Last year, in 15 games for Philadelphia, he made one interception, forced and recovered one fumble, and made 60 tackles -- 53 of which were solo.

The 28-year-old was drafted by St. Louis in 2009 in the third round with the 66th overall pick.

The Patriots lost both Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner to free agency this offseason, with Revis going to the Jets and Browner going to the Saints.
