Report: Patriots Re-Sign Ryan Wendell
BOSTON (CBS) - The man responsible for protecting Tom Brady up the middle will be tasked with that assignment for at least another two years.
CSNNE's Tom Curran was the first to report the news:
Ryan Wendell has re-signed with the Patriots. Ferreting out the length and other terms still. #PatriotsTalk

In an offseason where the Patriots addressed the defensive secondary and wide receiver group, the next area of need deemed by many was solidifying the offensive line.
Given Tom Brady's age, 36, and limited mobility, protecting him in the latter stages of his career - especially up the middle - will be imperative. And in an offseason where the team lost longtime assistant Dante Scarnecchia to retirement, continuity in that unit is of utmost importance.
The contract is a two-year deal worth up to $8.15 million, Field Yates provided some details of the signing on Twitter:
Per NFLPA records, the Patriots have re-signed C Ryan Wendell to a two-year deal worth a maximum of $6.85 million.
