Report: Josh McDaniels Won't Interview For Any Jobs This Week

BOSTON (CBS) -- Josh McDaniels has spent the better part of the past decade in charge of one of the most prolific offenses in the entire NFL, so naturally his name has popped up in rumors as teams seek to fill their head coaching vacancies around the league.

Yet even though the interest is real, McDaniels is opting to keep his focus on his current job.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, McDaniels won't be going on any job interviews this weekend, instead focusing his efforts on preparing for the Patriots' playoff opener next weekend in Foxboro.

McDaniels, 39, has already had one head coaching opportunity, as he left his job as New England's offensive coordinator to become the Broncos' boss in 2009. His stint proved to be a short one, as he was fired in December during his second season after compiling an 11-17 record as head coach.

McDaniels has been rumored to have interest in the Tennessee job, while the 49ers, Giants, Eagles, Buccaneers, Dolphins and Browns also have openings.
