Report: Jamie Collins Battling Virus, Unable To Eat
BOSTON (CBS) -- Jamie Collins was a late addition to the Patriots' practice report this past Saturday due to an illness. He didn't play on Sunday and he hasn't been seen in the Patriots' locker room since.
The illness has been quite the mystery, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Thursday that Collins is battling a virus. According to Rapoport, Collins has been weak and unable to eat.

The Boston Herald's Jeff Howe added some context on Thursday as well, noting that the level of concern for Collins has been raised a bit in recent days.
Collins' illness was described as a contagious type of bug Sunday. No one seemed concerned. Today, someone said, "I hope he's OK."

Collins, 26, was in the midst of a breakout season on the New England defense prior to coming down with the illness. He made a team-leading 51 total tackles and 4.5 sacks in seven games, and he also authored one of the highlights of the season across the entire NFL when he blocked an extra point in Indianapolis.
The Patriots play this Sunday in New York against the Giants, and they'll host the Buffalo Bills for Monday Night Football next week.
