Reports: Celtics Discussing Rajon Rondo Trade With Dallas Mavericks

BOSTON (CBS) - According to multiple reports, the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks are in serious talks about a deal that would send Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo to Dallas for multiple draft picks and center Brandan Wright.

The reports also suggest the Celtics have been talking to the Kings, Knicks, Lakers, and Rockets about possible Rondo moves.

Rondo had 13 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds to lead the Celtics to a 109-92 victory over the Orlando Magic Wednesday night.

After the game, he shook off the rumors.

"I'm sorry to say, what if, or coulda, shoulda. It is what it is now and everything happens for a reason and I believe in a certain time things happen for a reason so. I'm 28 and I'm pretty much the veteran guy on this team and that's just part of it," Rondo told reporters.

He also reiterated his claim he'd like to be in Boston for a long time.

The Celtics are also said to be shopping leading scorer Jeff Green.

CBS Boston's Brian Robb appeared on 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich show Thursday morning to help break it all down.
