Bruins Lose Craig Cunningham Via Coyotes Waiver Claim

BOSTON (CBS) -- Craig Cunningham has provided some serviceable help in his limited playing time with the Boston Bruins. But his time in the Bruins organization is over, as the Arizona Coyotes claimed Cunningham off waivers.

Cunningham, 24, has played in 32 NHL games this season after making a brief two-game appearance last year. He has two goals and an assist this season.

With AHL Providence, he had five goals and 10 assists to go with a minus-5 rating in 21 games.

Earlier this season on Dec. 29, the Bruins lost Matt Fraser to Edmonton via waiver claim. He has three goals and four assists with Edmonton in 21 games played.

The Coyotes also reportedly claimed Tye McGinn off waivers from San Jose.

The Bruins originally drafted Cunningham in the fourth round (No. 97 overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
