Red Sox Will Politely Pass On Tim Tebow

BOSTON (CBS) -- Tim Tebow's baseball workout in Los Angeles on Tuesday drew the curiosity of the Boston Red Sox. But that's about all it will draw from the team.

Red Sox president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski told NESN on Tuesday evening that the team won't be pursuing the former football player any more.

"We did our due diligence. I don't want to say anything negative because other teams are looking at him, but I don't think we'll be rushing out to make a signing," Dombrowski said on NESN.

Reviews on Tebow's workout were mixed. He hit some long home runs during batting practice and otherwise looked like a serviceable athlete, but it did not sound as though Tebow blew away any teams.
