Red Sox-Rays Game Postponed Due To Rain; Rescheduled For Doubleheader On Thursday

BOSTON (CBS) -- For the first time of the 2014 season, the Boston Red Sox have been rained out.

Wednesday night's Red Sox game against the Tampa Bay Rays has been postponed due to rain.

The game will be made up on Thursday at 1:05 p.m., when tickets from Wednesday night's game will be honored.

Thursday night's game, scheduled for 7:10 p.m., will take place as planned.

The game was scheduled as Dustin Pedroia bobblehead night, and those bobbleheads will be given to fans for Thursday's 1:05 p.m. game instead.

The Rays visit Fenway Park twice more this season, with both teams sharing an off day before the Sept. 23-25 series. Yet Thursday was chosen as a doubleheader instead of postponing until later in the year.
