Red Sox Lineup: Holt Starts At 2B As Pedroia Gets Day Off

BOSTON (CBS) -- Brock Holt will get the start at second base for the Red Sox as they look to split their series with the Blue Jays in Toronto on Thursday.

With the start at second, Holt will become the first Red Sox player to start at every position except for catcher and pitcher in the same season.

Holt, who received his first day off in two months on Wednesday, will be back in the leadoff spot with Shane Victorino sliding to the two-hole. Holt is batting .322 with 37 runs scored as Boston's leadoff man this season.

Dustin Pedroia, who is hitting just .269 for the season, gets a much-needed day off out of all of this. Pedroia is 2-for-24 in his last six games.
