Red Sox Ace David Price Bringing Dog To Boston - Just Not By Plane
BOSTON (CBS) – When new Red Sox ace David Price signed with the team, his dog Astro came as part of the deal. But his four-legged friend is having a hard time getting to Boston.
Price tweeted on Saturday that in attempting to move his French bulldog Astro to his new home, the pitcher found out that Delta Airlines' policy prohibits the breed of dog on its flights.
The airline's pet policy restricts "snub- or pug-nosed dogs" from flying.
Wow #delta doesn't allow French Bulldogs or shih tzus to fly?! Astro is coming to Boston..I guess just not flying #delta

Astro was regularly spotted by Price's side when he was a member of the Tampa Bay Rays.
The Red Sox have featured Astro in some of the team's early season promotions.

But fear not. Price got an offer from an unlikely source to help get his pooch to Boston.

After his dominating Opening Day debut in Cleveland, Price next takes the hill Monday in the team's home opener at Fenway Park.
