Dan Roche Goes 1-On-1 With David Ortiz On Sports Final

BOSTON (CBS) -- David Ortiz may only have roughly 162 regular season games and, hopefully, a handful of postseason games left in his career, but the 40-year-old Red Sox DH isn't feeling any pressure heading into his final MLB season.

"Not at all. I never put pressure on myself, so why would I now?" Ortiz told WBZ-TV's Dan Roche for an interview that will air on Sunday's edition of Sports Final. "I'm just going to keep doing what I do, get prepared for the season and try my best, as always."

Ortiz will hang up the cleats following the 2016 season, his 20th in baseball, the slugger announced last November. He's already said numerous times this spring he doesn't want to be a distraction for a team that could do some damage this season.

"I'm excited about this ball club. We have a little bit of everything," said Ortiz. "We have very good pitching with [David] Price and [Craig] Kimbrel – we know who is going to start and who is going to finish. I'm excited, bro."

Dan Roche doesn't know what to get Ortiz for a retirement gift and had some fun with the slugger in the video above. Of course, Ortiz gave it right back to him! Catch Rochie's full 1-on-1 with Ortiz on Sunday night's Sports Final at 11:35 p.m. on WBZ-TV!
