Red Sox Blooper Reel Features Pedroia, Victorino, Gomes And Co. Flubbing Lines

BOSTON (CBS) -- Players in Major League Baseball are the very best in the world at what they do, and the defending-champion Boston Red Sox are the best of the best when it comes to playing baseball.

When it comes to reading lines on camera, though ... they could use a little work.

The Red Sox released a blooper reel from the team's photo day, an annual rite of spring training when players pose for photos and read lines for various things, like scoreboard announcements and radio promotions.

For guys that have no problem turning on a 94 mph heater, they sure do have a lot of trouble reading while on camera.

The video has many highlights. Among them:

--Dustin Pedroia looking like a zombie who has lost his way while reading something about miniature golf

--Jake Peavy making fun of himself as an Alabama boy who didn't go to college and can't read but bragging that he is still smarter than Jon Lester

--David Ross double-checking on what qualifies as English these days

--Jonny Gomes burping, in what is the least surprising moment of the video

--Shane Victorino turning a website's URL into a quick little ditty

--Pedroia summing things up succinctly: "This is gonna be impossible."
