Red Cross Mobilizes To Help Nepal Earthquake Victims

CAMBRIDGE (CBS) -- Thousands of people were killed and many remain missing after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake ripped through the Katmandu Valley region in Nepal over the weekend.

The American Red Cross has launched a fundraising campaign through iTunes to raise money for relief.

The agency has sent aid kits to help 50,000 families so far.

The Red Cross has also activated their Family Links site where family members can search through the list of missing persons or register loved ones who are known to be in Nepal.
