Real Estate Website Ranks Brookline #3 Among 'Snobbiest' Small Cities

BOSTON (CBS/AP) — A real estate website has ranked Brookline, Massachusetts among the top 10 snobbiest small cities in America.

The real estate website Movoto.com ranked Brookline third on the list.

Movoto says to create its list it looked at cities with populations between 45,000 and 65,000 as well as criteria such as home prices, household income, percent of the population with a college degree and private schools and art galleries per capita.

Among the cities compared, they ranked third in college graduation percentage and have the third fewest non-fast food restaurants per capita. Brookline's median home price here is $681,900.

Palo Alto, California ranked number one on the list.
