The suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Alexander Cruz. The Easton officer says Cruz reached speeds of 80 mph and passed other vehicles in the breakdown lane.

Police say Cruz crashed and hit two vehicles after he drove over a tire deflation device that was put into the road by Raynham officers. A female passenger in Cruz's car was taken to the hospital by medical helicopter with serious injuries.
